MASP (Museu de Arte de São Paulo)
MASP occupies the striking Lina Bo Bardi glass-and-concrete building raised on red pillars over a plaza on Avenida Paulista. Its collection spans European paintings from the medieval period through the 20th century, including works by Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Portinari, displayed on distinctive glass easels that let you view canvases from both sides. The result feels less like a conventional museum and more like walking through an open storeroom of art history.
