Day trip tips
Make the most of your excursions.
Start early for Temburong expeditions — most full-day tours depart 7-8am and the canopy walk is best in morning light.
Bring your passport for the Miri Malaysia day trip — border crossings are usually quick but can occasionally have queues.
Car rental is the most flexible option for exploring Tutong, Seria, and coastal areas at your own pace.
Book Ulu Temburong tours at least 2-3 days in advance — visitor numbers are limited and popular dates fill quickly.
Brunei's cheap subsidised fuel (BND 0.31/litre) makes road trips extremely affordable — fill up in Brunei before crossing to Malaysia.
