The Dominican Republic captivates visitors with pristine Caribbean beaches, vibrant culture, and rich colonial history. From the UNESCO World Heritage colonial zone of Santo Domingo to the luxurious resorts of Punta Cana, this tropical paradise offers unforgettable experiences for every traveler.
The Dominican Republic has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round, averaging 25-32°C (77-90°F) at sea level. The country has two distinct seasons: a dry season from December to April that brings the best weather for tourism, and a wet season from May to November that includes hurricane risk peaking August-October. Mountain regions (Jarabacoa, Constanza) are significantly cooler, dropping to 10-18°C, making them a popular escape from coastal heat.
