Quinhamel Fishing Village
Quinhamel sits on the Mansoa river estuary a short drive from Bissau and functions as a working fishing and farming settlement rather than a tourist stop. Bolama Island - Colonial Ruins

Bubaque Island - Bijagos Introduction
Bubaque is the main town and transport hub of the Bijagós archipelago, a chain of islands recognised as a UNESCO biosphere reserve for its mangroves, sea turtle nesting beaches and relative isolation. Cacheu Fort and Mangroves
Cacheu was one of the earliest Portuguese trading posts on the West African coast and later a hub of the transatlantic slave trade; the fort there, the Fortaleza de Cacheu, is among the oldest European fortifications in the region.
