Honduras is a vibrant Central American nation known for its pristine Caribbean beaches, ancient Mayan ruins at Copán, and the world-class diving paradise of the Bay Islands. From the colonial architecture of historic cities to lush cloud forests and coral reefs, Honduras offers authentic adventures for every traveler.
Honduras has two distinct climate zones: the Pacific lowlands and interior valleys have a pronounced dry season (November-April) and rainy season (May-October), while the Caribbean coast and Bay Islands receive rainfall year-round but with a relatively drier period from February to May. The Bay Islands enjoy a tropical maritime climate with warm temperatures year-round (26-32°C), while highland areas like Tegucigalpa (1,000m) and the Celaque mountains are significantly cooler. Hurricane season runs June-November with the greatest risk in October, primarily affecting the Caribbean coast and Bay Islands.
