The Federated States of Micronesia is a stunning Pacific island nation comprising over 600 islands spread across four states: Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kosrae. Known for world-class diving, ancient ruins, pristine rainforests, and unique traditional cultures including stone money and manta ray sanctuaries.
The Federated States of Micronesia has a tropical oceanic climate with warm temperatures year-round, averaging 27-30°C (80-86°F). There are two distinct seasons: a dry season from December to April with lower humidity and calmer seas, and a wet season from May to November when typhoons can affect the northern states. Rain falls year-round in Pohnpei — one of the world's wettest inhabited places — but even the wet season allows plenty of outdoor activity between showers.
