Timor Leste has a tropical monsoon climate with two distinct seasons: a dry season from May to November and a wet season from December to April. The country is hot year-round with temperatures typically between 26-33°C at sea level in Dili. The central highlands are significantly cooler, with Maubisse at 1,400m reaching temperatures as low as 10°C at night. Humidity is high throughout the year but most oppressive during the wet season.
