Göynük Canyon
Göynük Canyon is a narrow limestone gorge cut by the Göynük stream north of Bingöl city, with walls that rise steeply above the water and a series of shallow pools and small cascades along the streambed. It is one of the few spots in the province where you can walk directly along a canyon floor rather than view it from a rim, following a rough path that crosses the water repeatedly. The setting is undeveloped, so the appeal is the landscape itself rather than any visitor infrastructure.

Karlıova Plateau
Karlıova sits at the geological point where the North Anatolian and East Anatolian fault lines meet, making the surrounding high plateau significant to geologists as well as to the herding communities who bring livestock up here in summer. The open grassland stretches for kilometers at altitude, cut by streams that feed into the upper Euphrates system, and in winter parts of the area see enough snow for basic skiing. Most of the year the draw is simply the scale of the open plateau and the villages scattered across it.
