Bursa
First capital of the Ottoman Empire, Bursa combines Ottoman-era mosques and tombs in its old core with a mountain resort on Uludağ above the city. Troy (Truva) and Çanakkale
Troy is the excavated mound of Hisarlık, where a sequence of nine cities dating back to the Bronze Age underlies the site associated with the Trojan War, and a full-scale wooden horse replica stands near the entrance. Çanakkale, the nearby port town, is the practical base for the trip and also the gateway to the Gallipoli battlefields across the strait, so the day can be built around either the ancient site or the WWI memorials depending on interest.

Pamukkale

Cappadocia (Göreme)
