Muş is an ancient city in eastern Turkey, spread across a sweeping highland plain at roughly 1,325 metres elevation, framed by the snow-capped peaks of the Bingöl and Taurus mountains. Malazgirt Battlefield and Castle

Bitlis Castle sits on a rocky outcrop above the old town of Bitlis, a city built into a narrow gorge and known for its dark volcanic stone houses and mosques rather than for the castle alone.
