Osmaniye is a provincial capital in southern Turkey nestled between the fertile Çukurova plain and the Amanos (Nur) Mountains. The province is home to Karatepe-Aslantaş, one of Turkey's finest open-air Hittite museums, the ancient city of Hierapolis Castabala, medieval Toprakkale Castle, and the cool highland plateau of Zorkun. It sits along the ancient trade route between Anatolia and the Levant, carrying layers of Hittite, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman heritage.
Osmaniye city sits on the main Adana–Gaziantep road and rail corridor, giving it good intercity connections. The otogar (bus terminal) is central and handles frequent services to Adana (1.5 hrs), Gaziantep (2.5 hrs), Kahramanmaraş (2 hrs), Hatay/İskenderun (1.5 hrs), and Ankara (10–12 hrs overnight). Osmaniye station on the Adana–Gaziantep TCDD railway line offers a cheap and scenic alternative. Within the city, dolmuş minibuses and taxis cover local routes. However, a car is essential for independent visits to Karatepe-Aslantaş (70 km), Castabala (50 km), and Zorkun Plateau (60 km) — none of these sites are served by public transport.

Arrange car hire from Adana Airport before arriving in Osmaniye — rental desks at the airport are more reliable than in-city options.
The O-52 motorway (toll-free) connects Osmaniye to Adana in 1.5 hours. Have exact change for the toll booths if driving your own vehicle (₺30–50/~$0.65–1.09).
