Subway lines at 57th Street and Columbus Circle are nearby.
The hotel occupies a 1930s building along Central Park South and is known for the sweeping park views from many of its rooms. Guest rooms are large by Manhattan standards, with categories running from Deluxe rooms and Park View rooms to Junior Suites and Central Park Suites. Many park-facing rooms are equipped with a telescope, a feature associated with this property, and the hotel maintains a Bentley for guest transfers, which is part of its luxury positioning.

The Broadway theatre district is about a ten-minute taxi ride, and the hotel's concierge can arrange tickets, restaurant tables and tours across the city.
