South Dakota's nightlife is centered on three distinct scenes: Deadwood's 24-hour casino district (the only legal gambling outside of tribal casinos in the state), Rapid City's Main Street brewpub and bar strip, and Sioux Falls' more cosmopolitan bar and cocktail scene. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August transforms the entire region into one massive outdoor party. Outside of these hubs, nightlife is quiet and mostly confined to local bars.
