Epirus is a rugged, mountainous region in northwestern Greece bordering Albania, renowned for its dramatic landscapes, ancient history, and rich culinary traditions. Epirus nightlife is relaxed, social, and centred on cafes, bars, and traditional music tavernas rather than clubs. Ioannina has the most active scene, especially around Plateia Pyrrou and the Kastro district, where bars stay open until 02:00–03:00. Mountain villages have almost no nightlife beyond local kafenia and the occasional panigiri festival.
