Bagmati Province is entered primarily through Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu, Nepal's only international airport. Within the province, transport options range from public electric tempos and microbuses to metered taxis, ride-hailing apps, tourist buses, and private car hire. There is currently no metro or rail system within Kathmandu Valley, though construction of a metropolitan railway is planned. Roads are often congested in Kathmandu city.
