Start early (7-8 AM) for desert and outdoor destinations to avoid afternoon heat, especially March-October
Khor Al Adaid requires a rented 4x4 with insurance - standard cars will get stuck in the sand
Al Zubarah Fort is closed Tuesdays - plan accordingly for this UNESCO World Heritage visit
