Howard Beach Resort Kenting occupies a plot on Kenting Road within the boundaries of Kenting National Park, Taiwan's southernmost protected area and its most popular beach destination. The resort is positioned approximately 150 meters from the waterfront at Nanwan Bay and is adjacent to Kenting Street, the main commercial strip of restaurants, souvenir stalls, and nightlife venues that runs through the center of the resort village. The nearest large city is Kaohsiung, approximately 90 kilometers north and accessible in about two hours by car or by the Kenting Express bus service from Zuoying High Speed Rail station.

The property's Mediterranean-influenced design—white stucco exterior walls, arched colonnades, terracotta roof tiles, and a fountain-centered courtyard—has anchored its visual identity since the main building was completed in the 1990s. Renovation cycles have updated the room inventory while preserving the courtyard and pool layout. Room categories include Standard Rooms, Deluxe Rooms with garden or pool views, and Family Rooms configured for two adults and two children. Balconies are available on upper-floor categories. Furnishings are hotel-standard with flat-screen televisions, mini-bars, and in-room safes; bathrooms have bathtub-and-shower combinations.

The grounds feature three swimming pools: an outdoor main pool with a shallow entry zone, a children's wading pool with water play features, and an adults-only lap pool. A water sports center operates on the beach access path, offering kayak, paddleboard, and snorkeling equipment rentals at approximately NT$300–600 per hour. A kids' club runs structured activities for children aged 4–12 during the summer peak season (June–August) and Taiwan national holiday periods. Two dining venues serve the property: a main restaurant with Taiwanese and international buffet options at breakfast and dinner, and a poolside bar serving light meals and beverages.
