Start all day trips as early as possible - mountain roads are busiest 9-11 AM and views are clearest in the morning before cloud cover builds
Paro Valley and Tiger's Nest is a full day activity on its own - don't try to combine with Punakha on the same day
Bring cash in Ngultrum or Indian Rupees for entry fees - no card payment at site ticket offices
