The Solomon Islands is a Pacific archipelago of nearly 1,000 islands offering pristine diving sites, WWII history, traditional Melanesian culture, and untouched natural beauty. From the bustling capital Honiara to remote coral atolls, this destination provides authentic South Pacific experiences far from mass tourism.
The Solomon Islands has a tropical equatorial climate with consistently high temperatures, high humidity, and rainfall throughout the year. Temperatures are remarkably stable, averaging 26-32°C (79-90°F) year-round at sea level with little seasonal temperature variation. The main climatic distinction is between the wet season (November to April) with heavy rainfall and occasional cyclones, and the dry season (May to October) with lower humidity, clearer skies, and the most comfortable conditions for travel.
