Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, offers extraordinary wildlife encounters including mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. From the source of the Nile to diverse national parks and vibrant Kampala, Uganda combines adventure, culture, and natural beauty.
Uganda sits on the equator but its altitude (900-1,500m in Kampala) gives it a pleasant tropical highland climate with temperatures rarely exceeding 30°C. The country experiences two rainy seasons (March-May and October-November) and two dry seasons (June-September and December-February). Gorilla trekking and safaris are best during the dry seasons when trails are firmer and visibility is clearest.
